Does anyone have any information regarding Edward Willamson, a corn miller, or his wife Eliza [nee Egerton] who lived in the village in1860. They had a son named Thomas born in 1860 and may have had other children

Thanks for your informative site!
Researching my family history I found a link to your village for the BATE family - agricultural labourers/servants there in the 20thC.
Anyone else connected?

The history section that mentions that Elizabeth Minshull lived at Church Farm is inaccurate - she has never (unfortunately !) been associated with the village !

Howdy Church Minshull.
Just thought I'd have a closer look at where my ancestors used to live. I'll have to come and have a pint there one day, see if I can get it free using the immortal line "Don't you know who I am?"
It's good to know that the family was once important enough to have a bit of land and a coat of arms. I don't know where it all went wrong, as I generally haven't got two farthings to rub together.
Regards.
Matt Minshull.
